The Jazz Messengers

OMG!!! Third will be the last for the day. This is the card I created for Tenia Nelson's Jazzy Paper Design. Inspiration for Challenge 11 is the CD Cover of Art Blakey's album "The Jazz Messengers". Tenia also included a sketch on this one.

Have a great weekend and enjoy safely.

Color Combos Galore

Good Morning:

TGIF!! Another week that goes's amazing how fast these two months of June & July have finished.....AND MY VACATIONS TOO....ughrrr!!!

Well, but such is life. My card today is for the Color Combos Galore Challenge #153

This is a fun challenge because it combines colors and they always have a twist to it. In this one the focus is on typography. My inspiration for this challenge is BABY, because two of my lifetime friends have become grandmas this month: Doris to a BABY boy and Marie to a BABY girl. Congrats to both on my behalf!!

Enjoy your day!!

Fun in the Sun

Hi.....I'm back from my small vacations. I really had some time off to share with family & friends, and to celebrate my hubby's birthday. Woooohhooo, he turned 50!! We had a small surprise party, which was a REAL surprise to him because we sang to him a couple of days prior to his real birth date. Its said that this can bring bad luck, but we don't believe in bad luck, so we just went ahead and it was really fun.

Well now on to my layout. This was my double page layout for this weeks sketch over at Scrappin Silhouttes. Jenniffer has posted Silhouette #6 so you can play along and show us what you came up with.

Remember, you can give it a twist and your personal touch. The silhouette is given so you can have a starting point, but you can interpret it in any way. You have a week to create your layout, just be sure to link your project by Tuesday at 6pm.

Let's see what you come up with.....enjoy!!

Curtain Call 39

Oohhh....lightly sunny here in PR....we have had sooooo much rain, it's always good to have a little bit of sunshine.

This morning I woke up and immediately got crafty. Yes, before I leave to run some errands, I had to make something for this Curtain Call {39} Color Challenge.

I have been following Stacey Schaefer's blog for a couple of months now, but this is my first time participating in the Curtain Call. It was fun the use of these colors, of course they go together very good.

Wanna play along? Yes, you still have time to link your creation until 11:59 pm midnight. So join us, I now you'll enjoy it as much as I did. Have a wonderful day folks!!

Sketches by {Tamara}

Good Morning:

It's a rainy day here in PR, so as I was reading my e-mails I got across this card challenge in the
Sketches by {Tamara} blog. Ooohhh, I like this blog so much! I have been visiting Tamara Wheeler's blog quite a while. It's a very interesting one, because she has a new challenge uploaded each Tuesday. She also has a rotation, that is that each week the challenge is different, according to the week. Check this out: Week 1: Layout Sketch
Week 2: Recipe Challenge
Week 3: Card Sketch
Week 4: Journaling Challenge

After week 4, the rotation will start over again.
You can choose with which one you want to play, or play with all of them if you wish. All sketches and challenges are for fun and no prizes are being awarded unless otherwise noted. Look at what I came up with this weeks card sketch. Enjoy and have a wonderful day.

The patterned paper is from The Angel Co. and the sentiment is part of June's Unity Kit. I also used misc ribbon and a butterfly brad.

Great News!!

Woohhoooo!! I've been selected to participate as a member for Jennifer Lowery's Scrappin' Silhouettes. It's my first time in a DT and am very excited. Thanks to Jennifer who gave me this opportunity.

Each Thursday there will be a new silhouette for you to play with. This is a new blog to follow, but I'm sure you'll love it. Stop by and enjoy all the beautiful work the DT members are posting every week. You too can upload your work. Want to give it a try?

Hi there again: Second post of the day. I'm getting a kick out of this. This card was done a while ago, buy like I told you before, I don't know much about blogging, so now is it that I am able to upload it.

With it I participated in a Stampin'Up! card swap back in May. Hope you enjoy.

I am trying to make it a MUST to post something here at least every other day. This way I keep my self practicing on this blog thing. To be honest, I have no experience at all and what you see here I have been able to do it just by guessing. WOW!! It's been hard though. Hopefully by the end of the year, I will be a little bit more experienced blogger. Let's just keep our fingers crossed!!

Have a nice day!!
